Interns

To participate in The Board Internship Program requires commitment to Christ first and foremost. It requires commitment to the program and to the host board, integrity, a determination to make a difference, timeliness, open communication, an aptitude for the boardroom, and a willingness to learn. These interns in the 2026-27 cohort have demonstrated or attested to these characteristics and qualities, and in return our commitment is to equip and develop them, and assess them and pray for them throughout the year long program.

Meet our 2026-2027 interns

Aaron Rootes

Host Organisation: Christian Venues Association (CVA)

I work for CRU helping to oversee and run the Summit traineeship, a Christian ministry leadership program that trains young Christian leaders in both ministry and outdoor recreation. I am passionate about continuing to grow as a Christ – like leader but helping others and organisations to do the same.
Personally – I live in Sydney, but was originally a country boy growing up in Dubbo. I am married to Bonnie and have a young son, Joseph who has recently turned me into a playground connoisseur. I like the outdoors, cooking, coffee with friends and have recently begrudgingly gotten into running, above all, I love Jesus and the hope of heaven.

He is energised by business, entrepreneurship, and the start-up space, with a particular interest in how faith and enterprise can create meaningful impact. Daisy Morris

Host Organisation: YouthCare

Meet Daisy Morris. English-born and Irish-raised, Daisy brings a posh Irish accent that you can understand most of the time. After training as a psychologist and completing her Master’s with distinction, Daisy worked in private practice and school settings before realising she wanted to change the systems shaping people’s experiences, not just support individuals within them. After being invited to join the prestigious Monash Doctoral Program, she traded clinical work for doctoral research.

Her research focuses on imposter syndrome and leadership. Through her research and speaking, she invites people to think differently about how individuals, organisations, and systems interact, and how this shapes confidence, leadership, and meaningful change. Daisy brings both scholarly depth and genuine warmth to these conversations, balancing serious insight with light-heartedness, and holding onto joy, meaning, and hope as essential parts of navigating work and life.

Nicholas Grice

Host Organisation: Power to Change

Becky McCreath

Host Organisation: CRU

I love solving tricky problems with the latest tech. I’ve spent the last 8 years in the technology integration space, working with enterprise clients across industries to build secure, scalable technology platforms that keep all their systems talking to each other smoothly, so that patients/students/customers can have the best possible experience. I find it equally enjoyable brainstorming with stakeholders and listening to their challenges, as I do spending hours deep in the code solving a tricky bug elegantly.
Jesus first became real to me in the authentic witness of leaders on a CRU dirtbike camp, and I’ve stayed involved in camp ministries ever since. It’s a privilege to participate in the ongoing mission of being authentic ambassadors for Christ and sharing the gospel with the next generation. I’m excited to keep fusing my passion for this ministry with a governance lens.
